FAIM 2012: Ferry Cruise Conference
Helsinki-Stockholm-Helsinki

The conference will be held in Helsinki, the Capital of Finland, and in a Ferry cruising between Helsinki-Stockholm (Sweden)-Helsinki. The conference location is just 25 kilometres from the Helsinki Airport that offers over 120 non-stop destinations around the world and 300 departures a day. The Sunday evening Welcome Reception and Monday morning Keynotes will be held at Scandic Marina Congress Center located in the heart of the city of Helsinki, just across the street from the Viking Line Ferry terminal. Rest of the conference will take place at Viking Line Ferry Cruise between Helsinki-Stockholm-Helsinki.
The theme of FAIM 2012 conference is Competitive and Sustainable Manufacturing and Service Systems and Technologies. For manufacturing enterprises, the ability to produce and provide products and services that meet the needs of customers in a profitable way has a key role in achieving and realizing competitiveness. Sustainability, on the other hand, is defined as actions and development that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Thus, competitive and sustainable manufacturing requires that manufacturing systems, technologies, and services are profitable and viable both now and in the future.
